It was upon my emergence from my craft that I realized I had traveled not to another place, but to another time. About we lumbered, a number of stout men, burdened by heavy loads. Finding a sudden need to slake my thirst and steady my mind, I called out to one of these porters. He pointed to a tavern, inside of which I found this roasty, chocolaty, and supremely drinkable brew."
And with that, we have Gigantic Limited-Edition Beer #7: The Time Traveler. A beer from the future! Or maybe the past?
Deep, dark, and black, with a thick tan head. Smells like chocolate and roasted malts. Tastes of bittersweet chocolate with hints of coffee. Smooth, slightly bitter finish. Simple, straight-forward, tasty and delicious!
So then, why only three-and-a-half out of five stars? Didn't I
just say that Time Traveler is a delicious porter? Yes, and it definitely
is, but it also doesn't really stand out from the crowd, either. Sorry, Gigantic, you've brought it upon yourself by brewing uniquely fantastic little batches of beer -- and Time Traveler is just kind of...
average.
On to the next one!
