Tasting Notes
From the bottle:
This robust porter is aged in Kentucky oak bourbon barrels. The result is a pitch-black brew, rich with oaky smoothness, bold bourbonesque aroma, with hints of fruit and vanilla.
Yup. So good. Bourbon aroma, with a really smooth, rich body. Roasty finish. Despite smelling like bourbon and having been aged in bourbon barrels, this was pretty easy to drink and not overly “boozy”. I'd suggest buying two bottles – drink and enjoy one now, and save one in the cellar to let the bourbon and vanilla flavors mature and really work their magic. Yum!
