Lots of nice fluffy head from the pour. Sweet nose, a cloudy, well-balanced, nicely-carbonated body with sweet notes of honey and rose. Clean, sweet finish.
"Sweet" is the word of the day... I guess that's what adding
rose extract
rose hips and honey to your beer will give you. While the rose flavor is subtle, the sweetness is prevalent throughout. The clean finish makes it quite drinkable, though, so give it a try if you like sweet, floral farmhousers.
No rose extract in this beer. This was made with rose hips added after the primary fermentation. Then a small amount of honey was added to bottle condition the it. FG=1.006. Using honey for bottle conditioning leaves the taste of sweetness without the sugar. We call this "virtual sweetness".
