Sweet, smooth, very roasty. A bit of chocolate. I don't have a lot to say about this beer. It's a porter. It was good, but it wasn't special. If I ever found myself in McMinnville, I'd probably stop by Golden Valley for a pint. I don't think that I'd seek this out in a bottle, though.
