Tasting Notes
Pours as most Captured by Porches beers tend to: with a ridiculous amount of soft, frothy head. Smells great. I'm not sure which hops were used in Yggdrasil, but the aroma is a lovely mix of light bready maltiness and sweet, floral hops. Yum. It tastes pretty great, too... well-balanced, not overly-hoppy or overly-malty. The best thing about this beer, though, was how much it surprised me. Yggdrasil is quite a bit thicker and heavier than most of the IPAs I've found in Oregon, which really sets it apart. Despite it's heft, it's really creamy, smooth, and well-balanced. Definitely one of my favorites from Captured by Porches; I'll be picking up another bottle of this for sure.
