Tasting Notes
Pours golden-orange, with a big floral citrus aroma. No really -- this beer smells great! How about a description from the brewer?
For the hop lover in us all, we present Cyclops IPA. The substantial gravity is met by a cornucopia of 5 hop varieties, which yield striking flavor and aroma, that results in one of the more balanced and aromatic IPA offerings you’ll wrap your hands around.
Sounds great! I found the Cyclops to be pretty drinkable... lots of citrus, decently hoppy. There's a fairly-big caramel malt backbone as well, which balances out the flavor nicely. I could've maybe used more aggressive hops and a bit less malts, but that's really just nit-picking (and for the record, I'm a hop-head, so the more "punch-me-in-the-mouth-with-hops" a beer tends to be, the more I tend to like it). This is a nice solid, sessionable beer, however; I've had it on tap several times around town and liked it, and the bottled variety is just as enjoyable and delicious.
