Tasting Notes
Hmm. A pilsener. Like Budweiser. Nope. Not like Budweiser AT ALL. It's awesome to see breweries like Heater Allen crafting real Bohemian pilseners. This style of beer doesn't have to suck. Pours into a really beautiful golden-yellow glow. An aggressive pour produces some fizzy head that dissipates quickly, leaving behind some moderate lacing. Smell is grassy and a little malty. Taste is the same, plus a little bready, a little spicy, and a little hoppy -- lots of flavor in here! Great balance, very drinkable and refreshing. The body is a bit heavier than a watery macro-pils, but remains clean, crisp, and dry. Yum.
