The third and final (I
think) installment in Hopworks' "Belgian-Style" series, following their
Abbey Ale and
Apple Ale releases.
Here's the description from the side of the bottle:
Our Belgian-Style Pale Ale is a unique, hop-forward, blend of Northwest and Noble hops interlaced within a pale, effervescent body. Subtle notes of stone fruit flavors play effortlessly with a spicy dry-hopped aroma. Enjoy this beer with a variety of cheeses and rich spicy meat dishes.
Pours light and golden. Smells floral and slightly herbal. Tastes kind of hoppy and kind of Belgian, but not strongly of either. A little watery even, perhaps. In the end, I found this beer to be decent -- but not spectacular. Better than the
Apple for sure, but I didn't love it anywhere near as much as the
Abbey.
