Whoa... this is a big, boozy beer. I wasn't expecting that. Deep copper color. Tastes biscuity and malty, with a bit of a hops, though not much. Caramel. Mostly malts and caramels, really. Feels heavy. The balance is okay, but this beer didn't do a lot for me. It reminded me a little bit of the Abominable that came out last winter, but perhaps a bit less complex (and without the "winter ale" spices). I'm not sure that I'd pick this up again, especially considering the other fantastic beers that have been coming out of Hopworks lately.
