Zap zap zap! From what I gather, this is the imperial version of the Rise-Up Red, which I enjoyed quite a bit last year. And being a video-game-nerd child of the 1980s, I totally dig the Galaga (or is it Space Invaders?) send-up with the label. Awesome. For posterity, here are the label notes: Yup, malty and hoppy as shit, which is kind of surprising for a red. Bready, not too sweet, not too bitter. Surprisingly clean finish. Feels heavier (and maltier!) than an IIPA, but that's okay, because it's a red. A really hoppy red. A bit booze-y, but that's okay too. I really liked this. High score for Hopworks!
