A note about the rating: when I had this on tap at Laurelwood last December, it was amazing. Very similar to the Workhorse, but a bit sharper and hoppier. I loved it so much that I kept the bomber in the fridge for over two months, anxiously awaiting the right opportunity for a second taste.
What happened? It's still good, but time has not been kind to this bomber. Most of the hoppiness is gone and has been replaced with sweetness. I still liked it, but my disappointment weighed heavily enough to sour my enjoyment of it. I'll be anxiously awaiting a re-release next winter, and you can bet it won't be kept sitting in the back of the fridge for long.
