Tasting Notes
The only place I've ever seen a bottle of this was, strangely enough, at the Fred Meyer grocery store. There doesn't seem to be much information online, so I'm not entirely sure what the story is regarding availability or freshness. Smells floral. Pours golden and a bit hazy -- not from the beer itself, but the amount of debris floating around in it. Big chunks of debris that swirl around and take an uncomfortably long time to settle to the bottom. I've had more than my share of unfiltered beers, but for some reason I was a bit put-off by it this time. Several minutes later the beer settled to a clear, pale amber. The taste is very sweet, lots of honey, and a floral smattering of hops. Little aftertaste. This would probably be sessionable if a) you could ever find more than one bottle, and b) you weren't left with malt-sludge in the bottom of your glass. Hmmm... What's the story, Laurelwood?
