Tasting Notes
"NW Pilsner"? Trying to coin yet another beer style, are we Laurelwood? And, oh look, you named it "Portlandia" and "put a bird on it". How completely un-cliché! Okay, awful branding aside, this beer was just okay. Smells very hoppy. Light citrus taste, with a light bready back. Still some hops taste. Crisp, yet still kind of soft and muddled. Slightly sour finish. I dunno... I like the idea of an over-hopped pilsner, but this one fell short of being great. Honestly, I keep coming back to the branding, and it makes me not want to buy this beer again. Sorry.
