Overcast Espresso Stout
OakShire Brewing (Willamette Brewery)
Tasting Notes
Fall has arrived with authority in the Northwest. Dead leaves litter the wet streets. Days get shorter and shorter. The skies remain a constant shade of grey, and the crisp, cold air hangs thick and damp. Hello rain, let's get drunk.
OakShire Overcast pours a deep, dark black with a tan cap of frothy head. Aroma is a good mix of coffee and chocolate, as expected. The taste follows along with the aroma -- coffee, chocolate, and a subtly smoked malt backbone. Medium mouthfeel. Dry finish.
Very smooth and rich, well-balanced, and delicious. Bravo!
