The Hazelnut Brown was one of my favorite beers years ago when I lived in Tennessee. I picked this bottle up the other day while I was standing in the beer aisle at the grocery store and was hit with a wave of nostalgia. There is so much amazing Oregon beer variety that I often pass by Rogue simply due to their enormous distribution and constant availability. I could grab a Hazelnut Brown at any grocery store in Portland, and probably a majority of convenience stores. Old standards are old standards, though, and nostalgia aside, this beer is still pretty great. It tastes exactly as I remember it, too... incredibly nutty and caramel-y. Not too heavy, but still a bit creamy. Yum.
