Tasting Notes
Ho ho ho, it's a Rogue Christmas beer!
A double-hopped Red, reddish in color, with a roasty, malty flavor and a hoppy spruce finish.
I actually didn't know this was a red while drinking it, and didn't find out until just now when I went and fetched that description from Rogue's website. Interesting, since I don't normally love reds. Pours a dark reddish-tan. Smells like citrus. Medium head. Like the website description ays, malty and hoppy. A pretty good balance, actually. Sweet, not overly bitter. Dry finish. There's not really anything inherently "Christmas-y" about this beer -- no holiday spices or whatever, just an easy-drinking above-average red. I like it.
