O.G. Wheat IPA gives props to the "Original Gangsters" of the beer scene here in the Northwest. How? We simply jumped in our beer time machine, hijacked the OG's, and wrote the master recipe. Wheat beers and IPAs are generally considered to be on opposite sides of the spectrum but we beg to differ. Time for old school to meet the new school.
Lots of citrusy hops in this one, which yeah, actually work well with a wheat base. I'm not sure I would have noticed this was a wheat beer, actually, though the body and mouthfeel are significantly heavier and creamier than a "standard" IPA.
Tasty, sure, but not as interesting or unique as I'd hoped.
