Tasting Notes
Molten Lava is the bigger & meaner cousin of Hop Lava; similar ingredients, lots more of them. Substantially dry-hopped for superior aroma.
Molten Lava came out around the beginning of the month, and I've already happily plowed through four or five bottles of this stuff. I keep buying it whenever I see it in the beer cooler even though I've already taken a picture of it. That's a good sign. The 17oz bottle is cool. It's label is really cool, too. I think the label might be one of the reasons I keep buying Molten Lava, actually. I love the bold, blocky graphic. It calls to me. It could very well be the beer, though, too. Big punchy aroma. Definitely an imperial. Big, bold hops, but still pretty smooth. Fruity. Boozy and sticky. Man, just writing this makes me want to go pick up a few more bottles. I probably will.
