The description, from Fearless Brewing's
awesome website:
LOKI Red Ale has been an ongoing project form the last couple years. Every time we would get a hole in the brewing schedule we would give this beer another tweak and brew a batch. We think we have it exactly right now. We wanted to get some into the market but didn’t have room for another truckload of cans! So, we labeled some cans we already had. Are they ugly? Maybe. If we have a good response in the marketplace we will find a place to land another truckload of cans. Anybody have an empty barn they would like to donate? We can pay the rent in beer!
So, yeah. The labels get a 5/5 from me -- I love that Fearless took the cheap-ass route and just paid for some stickers and stuck them to their
Scottish ale cans. Bright fuckin' red. Awesome.
The beer? I don't know. It's good, but it's not anything special. That said, I don't really love reds, so who am I to judge? It tastes like a good bar-room red, one like you might get if you were to visit a small brewery in a small town in Oregon that you found on the way back from canoeing, or kayaking, or camping out in the woods... which always tastes pretty good.
I'll probably pick up more.
