Saying something is "the greatest" is a pretty bold statement. In this case, though, we’re certain you’ll accept our pick with open arms, which led us to brew a tribute beer for the greatest band of all time.
Guess what I'm listening to while writing this review?
Journey through this delicious beer mashed with Weyermann Pilsner, Vienna, Rye, and Carahell malts, and hopped with Willamette Valley Centennials for a balanced, bready malt base and a big hop aroma we’re certain you’ll fall stone in love with.
The nose is not quite as hoppy as advertised, but there are still some nice citrusy smells...
*swoon*
Don’t stop believing our house Kolsch yeast and a cold fermentation meld perfectly with the base ingredients.
Well, I don't necessarily have a delicate-enough palate to pick out the Kolsch yeast, but I can say that this beer was pretty damn tasty. Hoppy, bitter, substantial-but-not-heavy, smooth, a little spicy... yum!
True story: back when I lived in Nashville, one of my buddies got the song "Don't Stop Believin'" banned from the bar's jukebox because of the crazy, drunken sing-alongs he would incite on an almost-nightly basis. To this day, it continues to make no sense to me whatsoever.
Enjoy this brew any way you want it, but we recommend having a backup bomber, because it won’t be long until your lovin’, hoppin’, squeeaaaaaziiiiin’, anoootheeerrrr!
Now it's your turn, girl, to cry! Naaaa naa na naaa na na, na naaa na naaa na, naaa naa na naaa na na naa naaa naa na na!!!
I had to rewind the song four times to get those "naa"s right.
The beer was good. And Journey fuckin' rock.
